This movie surprised me. I never had a real interest in seeing it but saw it anyway because the reviews were good. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It has action, comedy, a good story, and romance. I really loved the concept of how they portrayed being in a video game and what it's like. They introduced the characters well and had good dialogue, but the acting was marginal. I mean, the teenage actors are fine but they can never do great work. The professional performances were good and they took up most of the movie. I was wondering how this movie was going to go since they modernised it the way they did. But it worked so well! I laughed, I was on the edge of my seat because of the excitement, and it was a really beautiful movie to look at. There is a slight chance that I loved this one more than the original. The cast was amazing, and the script was fast paced and well written. With just the right amount of adventure and jokes. I really enjoyed it and I would for sure watch it again! One of the most surprising films in recent memory. While it has an incredibly silly plot and a weak villain, there is plenty of other elements that back it up. The performances are hilarious along with its clever script. The over the top action keeps you entertained the whole way through. The beginning starts out somewhat dry and pretty much all the main characters are annoying. But after the game starts, there's a nice mix of action and comedy that helps them grow. This is the easiest and most perfect drinking movie! I will say there are unrealistic portrayals of teenagers, but other than that a really good movie! You can drink every time they say Jumangi, (but I would personally do every other time they say Jumangi just from how often they actually say Jumangi), you can drink every time they die, you can even drink every time there's an automated character!!!
