Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji -- you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves -- or they'll be stuck in the game forever.

Audience Says

This reboot won’t blow your mind, but it’s an easy, funny, and action-packed summer flick made much better than it needed to be by standout performances from Jack Black and Kevin Hart.

The myriad of ways this sequel could have ended in disaster were obvious and ripe. Nevertheless, against all odds, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a good movie.

Expanding the world of a concept is great! But the story that Welcome to the Jungle is expanded for is yet another teen-self-actualization movie, the kind of thing we already received this year.

Even with a simple plot, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is so flat-out hysterical that it’s a complete joy to watch. The film embraces the silly concept of being sucked into a video game, but never insults the audience’s intelligence.

Welcome to the Jungle steps down from its predecessor and takes the fun road. Ultimately, the saunter is amusing but not iconic.

What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be! Looking forward to sequel. And since the movie's stars are avatars, you don't actually need their real life counterparts to be the same in every film - which is genius.

This movie surprised me. I never had a real interest in seeing it but saw it anyway because the reviews were good. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It has action, comedy, a good story, and romance. I really loved the concept of how they portrayed being in a video game and what it's like. They introduced the characters well and had good dialogue, but the acting was marginal. I mean, the teenage actors are fine but they can never do great work. The professional performances were good and they took up most of the movie. Anyway I never got bored during this movie and it's a fun time.

Funny, action-packed, with no political nonsense thrown in by SJWs.

I was wondering how this movie was going to go since they modernised it the way they did. But it worked so well! I laughed, I was on the edge of my seat because of the excitement, and it was a really beautiful movie to look at. There is a slight chance that I loved this one more than the original. The cast was amazing, and the script was fast paced and well written. With just the right amount of adventure and jokes. I really enjoyed it and I would for sure watch it again! Little shoutout to Jack Black. The whole cast was amazing but that man, he was brilliant!
