What to Know

Critics Consensus

The initial set-up is unbelievable, the plotting is predictable and stale, and the comedy depends on repetitive pratfalls that soon get old.

Looking to follow the Cheaper By The Dozen formula to box office success, Yours, Mine & Ours is a tiresome kids comedy that's mostly loud and mean-spirited. Go to Full Review

Regardless of a distinct lack of romantic chemistry between Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo, the able-bodied actors fulfill the slapstick demands of this run-of-the-mill family comedy based on the 1968 movie with Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball. Go to Full Review

The secret to the film's modest success can be summed up in five words: Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo. Go to Full Review

Hermione W Apr 17, 2019 Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo have good chemistry but that is the only thing good about this movie. It is clearly trying to cash in on the success of Steve Martin's movie Cheaper By The Dozen. What worked in Cheaper By The Dozen is that they seemed like a real genuine family but here they seem like a cartoon family. A majority of the movie is predictable including the scene where the family is sailing a boat and some throws up and goes overboard. When I started watching it I see 4 studios which backed it which is astounding for something like this. I saw Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer so I assume they all had faith that this would crush the box office. See more

George S Oct 18, 2018 I love this movie! It never gets old!
Leia S May 21, 2018 This is the best movie ever. Each actor gave a performance above and beyond expectation; Russo and Quaid have impeccable chemistry and all the kids have incredible chemistry as well. Full of great one-liners that will be stuck in your head for decades. 10 out of 10, would recommend. No one is too old to enjoy this Fun Family Film. See more
Harry R Feb 2, 2018 Quaid and Russo find a way to pay for those kitchen extensions. Hope it was worth it, guys. My son tells me one of the younger actresses has reappeared in The Flash currently airing on Sky. Took her just the decade to get out from under this. Go girl. See more
