In spite of narrative problems... the film's chief appeal is its central conceit -- that giant monsters... can be transformed into [ceatures] who like to play with children. Go to Full Review

Parents seeking innocent kiddie entertainment should know that the dinosaurs are drugged, the children are briefly transformed into monkeys and the Professor is eventually devoured by crows. Go to Full Review

Poe S Jan 28, 2019 This movie stinks worse that my dogs breath, and that's saying something
Finn G Dec 10, 2018 A goofy kid's film, We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story is a little too juvenile for most audiences. The story follows a group of dinosaurs that are given a brain enhancing food by a time-traveler who then transports them to the 20th century to entertain children at the New York Museum, and along the way they make friends with two children who are running off to join the circus. The casting is fairly impressive, featuring the voice talents of John Goodman, Yeardley Smith, Jay Leno, Martin Short, and Walter Cronkite. However, the writing is rather poor and is extremely heavy handed. And the animation isn't very good; looking dark and grungy. It may entertain the kiddies, but We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story aims too low to be enjoyed by anyone else. See more
Nov 17, 2018 This is the best animated film I've ever had!!!
Albus M Nov 7, 2018 One of the most infuriating re-watches of an old movie that I once looked fondly upon as a child, "We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story" is undoubtedly adept in its visual conjurations. The backdrops, the set pieces, the character designs, and facial animations are all top notch. Even the voice cast is supremely talented in bringing these characters to life. But this story is so abjectly imperfect and off-the-wall in terms of structure. I just can't help but wish it had been something more than what I see it as now through my adult eyes. See more
Poe W Feb 24, 2018 This is a show I absolutely adored as a child, not even being school age when it first came out. It is, even now, a movie I hold close and place it on my brain mantlepiece with How to Train Your Dragon. It has a simple and fun animation and a story that made me both cry and laugh as a child. Albus G Sep 4, 2017 An easy-going venture that shirks and embraces convention in equal measure.
