It sounds ridiculous and, rest assured, it is. Go to Full Review

Only one element remains clearly traceable to Hong Kong cinema: The titular warriors are badly dubbed. Go to Full Review

Enchantingly peculiar, and Angus MacFadyen is hilarious. Go to Full Review

Warriors of Virtue could be the most impressive Hollywood debut yet for a Hong Kong director, although lackluster writing and a needlessly muddled storyline somewhat tarnish the effort. Go to Full Review

Oct 13, 2018 I loved this movie as a kid. I had it on VHS lol. If I watched it now I'd probably think it was cheesy but back then it was in heavy rotation See more
Anakin P Aug 25, 2018 Listen, this movie has it's rough patches I will admit. But honestly it has a deeper meaning to it. And come on martial art Kangaroos! How cool! I remember watching this as a kid and I thought it was neat. To be honest all it needs is a little bit of smoothing out on the plot and backstory, throw in some new actors and a little better design for the Roos and it's golden! It's an interesting movie! Come on. I like TMNT but why not shake it up a bit and show kids some Roos! TMNT is kinda getting burned out. I mean it's had like at least 7 or 8 remakes. See more
May 10, 2018 this was one of my childhood favorite films what they delivered in conveying the simple theme of a child searching for a way to improve his life without running away learning to use virtue and build his character using chinese philosophy is exactly the way i turned out to live my life the feelings of that young boy in the movie have stayed with me for the rest of my life See more
Albus S Jan 1, 2017 So..."Warriors of Virtue"...how do I quickly and lazily summarize the plot? It involves suburbia, a sports film sub plot, a martial artist restaurant chef bullies, a fantasy world, Chinese myths and beliefs, and kangaroo warriors who are trying to free their world from the clutches of a stock bad guy. This sounds so ridiculous that it may just work as a piece of entertainment. Well, no, no it doesn't. Far from it. The list of editing, directing, and writing mistakes are endless in this film and they are just embarrassing to witness unfold. There is zero character development here, ZILCH! I never cared about them at all because they are given either no backstory or just the bare bones piece of fluff story that you can think of on the spot. The overabundance of clichés, plotholes, and lazy film editing techniques (gotta love the motion-blurring going on there during the action scenes - totally not distracting!) are enough for the film to treat me more like a buffoon rather than being entertaining or time investing. There is ONE slightly redeeming quality present in the film, the most over-the-top villain I've ever seen in a motion picture. Every time he is on screen I laugh out loud because he is so bloody loony and bad that he is good. Sadly, he is not enough to save this film because there is far too much boring dreck to sit through that take up about 90% of the film. In the end, I just feel like a complete asshat after what I had just witnessed. Somebody please put on a better fantasy film for me to heal the wounds this film delivered to me. PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
