Hagrid W Dec 30, 2018 IMO this is one of the 90's more hated on comedies. Granted it's nowhere in the orginal or Christmas Vacation's league but it's better than both European Vacation and the remake and MILES better than Christmas Vacation 2 (even if I enjoy it as a so bad it's good movie.) This movie's biggest flaw was behind the scenes and just time in general. It was 8 years since the last one and Chevy just started getting OLD. His career was falling apart and badly needed a lifeboat; plus getting banned from hosting SNL ever again seriously hurt his hopes at a rebound. Seems to me Chevy did this expecting an instant hit and falling hard on his face just as easily. He's not lazy I'll give him that; neither are D'Angelo or Quaid/his wife. Cousin Eddie is really for me what makes this work. He is finally allowed to have time to shine and Quaid killed it like he always does. His family's more entertaining this time so that helps plus it's hard to top the bits he has. As for the kids they aren't bad at all; in fact Nichols is my favorite Audrey, the sexiest one by far as well she actually looks better than Beverly did.. gotta love father time. All the celeb cameos work decently well too. Wayne Newton steals the show when he's on camera playing a swarmy version of himself. You also get Siegfried and Roy, Toby Huss, Julia Sweeny, Sid Caesar, and a few others. I think the biggest problem with the mojo was Hughes not being onboard. He added the wityness and good writing to the orginal and Christmas vacation which is why they stand the test of time, the new writer had a hard time but she did okay. However soul wise it just didn't feel right to me; woulda loved to seen what John coulda done. However this movie works enough due to Eddie and Russ's arc that it makes up for it. This one gets hated on too much; it's always been a fun ride for me . See more

Hermione S Nov 2, 2018 Vegas Vacation may get a few laughs, but it shows overall that it deserves to be forgotten at home.

Luke S Aug 12, 2018 Its the worst story. The movie suffers from the pg13 rating. The story involving a family theme is thin and fake. Terrible film.

Hermione S Jun 9, 2018 The Vacation films keep taking a disastrous turn at some part and this one proves it. The highlights of this film are Chevy Chase, Randy Quaid, and Wallace Shawn. See more

Harry R Nov 6, 2017 Vegas Vacation (1997) ?? 1/2 / ???? Such an obvious setup, even for a Vacation movie. Fourth Vacation wastes no time getting family to Vegas. Not really all that good--gags fall flat left and right--but surprisingly watchable; Randy Quaid gets most of the laughs. Actress Marisol Nichols was so extraordinarily good-looking I found her a distraction; scene where Chevy Chase (for no apparent reason) climbs a telephone tower on top of Hoover Dam also seems alarmingly out-of-character (and out of nowhere). If you cry foul for my generous 2 and a half star rating, at least grant me that it is much better than EUROPEAN VACATION. See more
