Col. Claus von Stauffenberg serves Germany with loyalty and pride but fears that Hitler will destroy his country if allowed to run unchecked. Different from most other WW2 movies, but as the ending is already known, there's not much tension.

Flawed energy when marching disastrously on false assumptions with an inevitably unfortunate outcome, and that is how suspenseful the historical thriller factually turned out to be while luckily being character-driven in a high consequential, though non-consequential situation with little significance that was intellectually presented. I remember doing a presentation on Operation Valkyrie for school. And I was so passionate about the subject. So when I saw a Hollywood movie starring Tom Cruise called Valkyrie, well, I was naturally excited. And, holy crap, it was great! Not only is there a constant, palpable tension during the most of the movie (while Stauffenberg carries out his plan) but I found the movie to be very well explained and to the point. Great acting, great plot, constant suspense. What more could you want?

interesting movie acting was fine, nothing deserving of an award in my opinion effects were good scenes could feel long at times cliche at times with this whole "im a nazi so i automatically do evil villain tropes" movie did a good job showing the inner workings of this plan without being confusing good movie overall, probably not something people will watch more than once

As a Hollywood conspiracy thriller "based" on true events, it's an entertaining and good movie. The movie decided to focus on one single event or attempt on Hitler's life. The full history of the attempts on Hitler's life by the German military is much broader and could have made for a really compelling movie but for what this movie was, I enjoyed it.
