In addition to the stars, whose performances are dead-on, production values are high, and the script by Peter Woodward contains some intriguing questions. Go to Full Review

This 2010 thriller is a bold but confused attempt to portray the messy, conflicted world of torturing terror suspects for information that will hopefully save lives. Go to Full Review

Sep 1, 2018 One and a half stars is all I can spare for this clumsy attempt at a prescient storyline. The cast was good, though for many of them it was the weakest I'd ever seen them act. It seemed like they all knew the movie was gonna be a stinker and could only be bothered to recite their lines. Flip flops between scenes of grotesque torture, quibbling back and forth about ethical issues, eventually bowls over any deeper meaning so it can plow into another torture scene. Full of lazy cliches, blatant prejudice, and a vein of ignorance about the American legal and political system runs throughout. Imagine Tom Clancy wrote Reservoir Dogs and it was directed by Tim Heidecker and you've got a pretty good idea what to expect from this movie. See more
See more
Poe L Apr 12, 2018 I was very entertained but some of the scenes were way to graphic so I had to turn my head. I recommend if you can say it's just a movie not REAL LIFE... See more
Jan 29, 2018 Excellent film! Covers a pending reality that most consider Unthinkable. Drastic scenarios warrant a drastic response.
Hermione S Jan 18, 2018 Great movie. Forces the question, how far would you go?
Luke R Nov 18, 2017 The trailer doesn't sell this movie. This isn't a cheap action thriller. This is a thriller. And a great one! The movie takes a thought provoking view on a very uncomfortable subject, - without losing you along the way. Some movie critics have claimed some of this movies aspects to be unrealistic. But what life have taught me is, that reality dwarfs even the scariest of fantasies. I watched the extended/full version of the movie, and the full ending made this movie one you won't forget !! It misses the fifth star from me, because the character build up is minimal. Maybe that was deliberate, but I would have liked to at least get to know our main charather Agent Helen Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss) a bit better, and get a glimpse into the mind of the terrorist. Also it feels like all the money went into the design of the scenes where the interrogation takes place, leaving only a small budget for the other scenes. And - I would have liked the movie to be 2 hours, instead of the 1 hour and 37 minutes we get. See more
