Whenever Casey Newton touches a lapel pin with the letter T on it, she finds herself transported to Tomorrowland, a city filled with huge robots and sleek buildings. The gifted young woman recruits the help of scientist Frank Walker, a previous visitor to Tomorrowland, who years ago made a startling discovery about the future. Together, the two adventurers travel to the metropolis to uncover its mysterious secrets.

The much-hyped film itself feels overwhelmingly bland... I hope there are some young girls out there will take heart in seeing a heroic, science-loving teen girl onscreen. For everyone else, can I recommend staying home and reading Ursula Le Guin instead?

The point of Tomorrowland is to encourage youngsters to think out of the box, stay positive and never give up. It's a sweet and inspirational message buried in a mire of cryptic plotting.

Thinly veiled beneath the powerhouse studio running the show, Disney's "Tomorrowland" is your new lightning rod between poignant and preachy. It is, with absolute certainty, an enormous message movie hiding behind a summer blockbuster.

A thrilling sci-fi film with great acting and effects, only hampered down by a little too long of a run time with some slow parts in the middle. A fun imagination almost if Disney produced a kid friendly Terminator.

Tomorrowland touched on life events that resonated with me. As an adult I have vivid memories of childhood visits to Disneyland. The music has become a part of me. The way this movie is constructed takes those experiences and builds a narrative that builds them into an extraordinary vision of tomorrow. The message is one of hope that we can share across generations. Thanks to the creators, cast, and crew for bringing part of my childhood to life!

Don't listen to the many who harped that this film was too preachy. They've missed the point entirely. Confronting seemingly helpless situations with optimism and hope is a notion we should never be growing tired of. Brad Bird's message is understood by those who undoubtedly recognize the unbridled ambitions of Walt Disney.
