Its clichs grow slightly funny. But not funny enough to make the endless torture scenes bearable. Go to Full Review

A stupendously inane and pointless slice of revenge-based horror whose title might as well describe the audience watching it. Go to Full Review

Ron S Apr 16, 2019 Twisted and heart-breaking. And actually sends a message. A simple message, but a message.
Han L Jan 22, 2019 //i discuss major spoilers here\\ I can say I enjoyed this film, but I can also say it had a bit of plot holes and felt too convenient at times for the sake of the story. For instance, the fact Craig happens to be a doctor with easy access to excessive medical supplies and then the plot twist being based on two prisoners looking virtually the same and the couple getting them mixed up. The twist surprised me, at least, but after some thought was disappointing, especially since we didn't see how the couple reacted to the truth. I wonder how they could've lived with knowing not only did they torture the wrong guy, but a guy who didn't deserve it for just a crime like tax evasion. Uh, talk about mortifying? Anyways, while the plot is a rather hot mess, the torture scenes were in fact tense and interesting. I went into this movie not really expecting a phenomenal or creative film in any way, just something horrific enough to pique my interest. And that's essentially all there is to this film. See more
Poe S Jan 31, 2018 This movie was almost unbearable to watch, half way through i actually became a little sick and the ending just makes it so much worse. See more
Leia S Dec 8, 2017 I had absolutely no sympathy for the couple after watching gut-twisting visuals of them breaking the bones and smashing the organs of the "antagonist." This movie was disgusting. I was hoping for them to interrogate him, but oh-ho plot convenience! --They maybe tortured the wrong guy! (this is not really explained well). I wanted to know John's answer to WHY, not the couple's answer to what he deserved. if they had the wrong guy then a much needed interrogation would let them know that OOPS we messed up! both of the escapees from the van looked too similar to differentiate. I still don't know what that ending was about. See more
Feb 12, 2017 Seen better, seen worse, might be worth checking out.
Hermione W Nov 23, 2012 Critics gave "The Tortured" a 6% rating. Who can I slap for that. This movie deserves 100%. This movie falls under my top 25 greatest movies of all time. If you are the type of movie fan who likes Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, One missed Call, then please stop reading my review.
