Skin plays out with the clarity, simplicity, rawness and grim poetry of a folk tale, tackling on the way some pretty elemental themes, but it's a tale as told by a very dull speaker. Go to Full Review

There are two reasons why The Skin of the Wolf stands out from the crowd... Samu Fuentes' direction and the entire cast's performances. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The beauty of the images is the main attraction in a film which, as far as the dramatic elements is concerned, is missing something from its script. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Aug 10, 2018 The movie was OK but the ending was horrible!!!.
Jul 23, 2018 The movie was, at times, painful to watch with its lack of drama, over-extended slow-paced scenes, and neanderthal mannerisms, but my the end of the movie, I grew to appreciation the irony hidden throughout the film. A man who is depicted as an appalling narcissistic barbarian by those who are deemed "civilized", I viewed as the real victim. He was a transparent, hard-working, and modest man who gave his all. He even showed empathy to both his prey and those who betrayed him. Those who looked down on him, traded their daughters for debts, lived deceitfully and indignant lives, and even committed murder as a means of "escape". Things are not what they appear to be. Draco W Jul 19, 2018 I found this movie to be oddly compelling. If you want to be fed everything by dialogue it is not for you. This one requires that you study the characters, watching for nuances of emotions. Seemed to be a very realistic representation of many people's experiences, sad, lonely, nearly impossible to articulate to others. See more
Jul 18, 2018 Very powerful and we'll depicted. Strongly suggest.
Anakin M Jul 17, 2018 I was struck how the movie reflects the quote "you can't be what you can't see" (from documentary Miss Representation). He could reflect care for a baby goat and for someone wounded or ill, yet had no skills to be in a relationship since he lived in isolation and had no context. From that perspective it's a fascinating movie if we consider current role models who influence our way of seeing the world (that statement is without bias - it's from all sides of the political and economical spectrum). Jul 16, 2018 Loved the movie, loved the acting. Good story. Not for those looking for Capt'n America type of movie trash.
