After surviving a bloody fight with powerful gangsters, rookie Jakarta cop Rama thinks he can resume a normal life. However, his exploits during that fateful incident have attracted the attention of criminals even more deadly than the last. His family at risk, Rama has no choice but to go undercover. He gets himself thrown in prison, where he befriends the son of a prominent crime kingpin. Rama must lay his own life on the line to finally destroy the criminal empire.

Although its high-energy plot and over-the-top violence may play better with genre aficionados, The Raid 2 definitely delivers more of everything audiences loved about its predecessor.

A lot more involved than the original Raid film, with a more complex story taking place over more time and in more places. Sounds great, but I think the smaller, contained tale of the original actually served the premise better. But make no mistake, The Raid 2 is awesome. It provokes more discussion than the original, and the fight scenes (which let's be honest, is 100% the reason we're all here) are absolutely up to specs.

I really liked the first one. I don't think this one should have been called "The Raid" but whatever, anyway it was great... action crazy, fights choreography was fantastic. Only it could have been 100-110 minutes long not longer than that.

Just simply mind-blowing. This film is fascinating, it has to be the most well made action flick I've ever seen. The stunts are exhilarating and non-stop, the whole film is basically an orgy of action-packed, gory violence. And it's just great. While some scenes can get long after a while, this sequel is in several ways superior to the first movie, like in terms of quality production. And sometimes, you'd just wish that I'd never stop. And Iko Uwais gives another good lead performance. Overall, this gory and entertaining action flick has got to be in the list of the best action pics ever made. Recommended !!

With more crazy stuntwork and violence, The Raid 2 might occasionally let itself slip into outlandish territories but maintains all the signature markings of the first to make it a worthy sequel.
