New recruit Shi Wand signs a pledge to steal General Xu Ning's blade-proof mail overnight or lose his head. The flea-on-the-beam slips through barracks, chimney and vault, swapping crates and shadows until the glittering armor vanishes beneath his cloak, earning Liangshan both the priceless vest and the soldier who will soon teach them to wield it.
