The actual story it's telling becomes such a footnote in this pat-itself-on-the-back, self-congratulatory thing going on and on about "here's the story of the Little Prince, wasn't it a GREAT story? Weren't we brilliant for sharing that story with you?" Go to Full Review

So few animated films try anything outside of the realm of normalcy; fortunately, Osborne's film realizes normalcy is, well, boring. Go to Full Review

Apr 2, 2019 In a world where children are from the very beginning destined to live a life with rules and their programmed future, this tale makes us think we need to play, be creative and imaginative to become better people. See more
Rey S Mar 28, 2019 We all grew up. But what distinguishes being an adult or growing up as an adult? It's just about numbers or values. If there is no benefit, then throw it away. Apparently, this philosophy continues to swirl and point out who is actually wrong or right. Are you really happy or sad? The Little Prince explores two boundaries of the views of adults and children to a more complex essence. An experience and story that is captivating, flicking, but important to learn. And yes, when I say the movie is good, read the book too. See more
Anakin G Jan 16, 2019 Very introspective story with unique animation and a great message.
Theodore S Dec 20, 2018 Great animation, great characters, decent plot. I loved this movie even if it wasn't perfect.
Rey P Dec 20, 2018 Wow. Just wow. If you are French and like to sit around creating artsy metaphors for pontificating on life and the evils of capitalism while sipping wine and cheese, this movie is for you. I recall seeing this book as a kid and not being impressed, and not much has changed. You might say, yeah, but you didn't get the deeper meaning - yeah I got it. It was pounded and beaten and flayed over and over again. It just isn't coherent (which I GET is the point), and maybe I am just too OCD like the mom in the story. I am not saying I didn't enjoy the movie - it was well done and there were some well done messages and laughs. Ironically, I enjoyed most of the movie that DIDN'T have the Prince in it. It held my attention most of the way through, although I started to nod off at the end. My kids seemed to enjoy it, so points there. See more
Leia R Nov 28, 2018 This film is a wonderful 3D animated story wrapped around the key story of The Little Prince. The narrative story highlights the performance pressures of the modern world and it's effects on young children while also outlining the importance of keeping one's inner child and imagination alive, even as an adult. The story of the Little Prince itself is beautifully crafted in stop motion and perfectly captures the spirit of the original book by Antione de Saint-Exupéry. I believe the 3D animated narrative story make the Prince's story easily accessible to Pixar lovers who are unfamiliar with the book and I am hopeful that it inspires them to read 1943 original.
