All of the voice actors who helped give the first movie so much charm have returned, and their skill somewhat compensates for the clumsy script. Go to Full Review

Harry S Nov 21, 2018 Not a bad movie my any means. I actually quite enjoyed it. It's a pretty decent sequel to the classic movie, and way better then other sequels to Disney movies. Also whether you hate this movie or not you have to admit that the animation was better then the original movie, because is 1989 vs 2000. So at least that is a good thing that you must admit. It was quite fun to see Melody, Ariel's daughter on screen become the rebelious teenager and Ariel the protective parent. And Morgana had a pretty interesting back story, her mother prefering Ursula over her. I was entertained by this movie, and it's better then Ariel's Begining in my opinion. While adults might hate it because it's below the level of the original classic movie, kids will like it for sure. I will give this movie a score of 6/10. See more
Ron P Jun 19, 2018 I really like this movie
Poe S Jan 19, 2018 Fun addition, a little too simple.
Albus M Sep 2, 2017 I was not a fan of this movie because it had a different actor and different address so it was not up to my standards
Luke S Jun 10, 2017 The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea is a lazy and inferior retelling of the first film with little to no changes made, and the soundtrack is nowhere near as fantastic as its predecessor. Even the character traits are copy and pasted from the first film with Ariel now taking over Triton's role as the overprotective parent, Melody being the rebellious child who wants to go out and explore the world under the sea, and Morgana is literally just there to replace Ursula since she died in the previous film, and she has the exact same goals as Ursula where she wants to take over the ocean world. They try to make Morgana interesting by establishing that her mom always favored Ursula over her, but even with that, she's still not that interesting of a villain, and she is nowhere near as threatening or as diabolical as Ursula was. If there is one thing I did like about this film, it's that at least the animation is OK. Granted, it doesn't look as good as the first film, but then again, this is a direct-to-video film. You're not going to expect top-notch animation quality out of a direct-to-video film. But yeah, the animation isn't great, but it's not awful either. It's just decent. But regardless of the decent animation, it still doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty bad movie. See more
George L Jun 7, 2017 Ok this movie really isn't that good. It had an interesting plot to me. Ariel's daughter wants to go to the sea instead of Ariel wanting to go to land. I'd say this was a better movie than Ariel's beginning. This movie wasn't as boring but it was still dumb. The animation is alright and doesn't look really bad. At least there's original music but it's still kind of annoying. The side kick characters were pointless and super annoying. Definitely could've lived without them. I'm just gonna give this movie a F+. It almost passed but this is mostly just for small kids. I think maybe 6 and under will enjoy this but that's pretty much it. See more
