It's been two years since the gang known as the Wolfpack narrowly escaped disaster in Bangkok. Now, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Doug (Justin Bartha) have happy lives at home -- but Alan (Zach Galifianakis) doesn't. Still lacking contentment and a sense of purpose, Alan has gone off his meds and surrendered to his natural impulses. It's up to the other members of the Wolfpack to get him through his personal crisis by embarking on a road trip to the place it all began: Las Vegas.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Less a comedy than an angrily dark action thriller, The Hangover Part III diverges from the series' rote formula but offers nothing compelling in its place.

... if director and co-writer Todd Phillips didn't run this once clever idea into the ground the first two times, he definitely did it the third time with THE HANGOVER PART III. Go to Full Review

If you loved The Hangover but loathed its nastier, cruder, non-hilarious sequel - apart from that quite amusing monkey - you'd be right to approach this threequel with caution. Go to Full Review

It's such tired schtick, such a nakedly calculated play to be "controversial," for an increasingly irrelevant filmmaker to get attention. He used to do so by making funny movies. Go to Full Review

By ditching the flashback structure from the first two films and bringing in elements and hues of road movies, parenting dramas, and even violent crime thrillers, the result is certainly different than repeating the first movie again like a cookie-cutter. Go to Full Review

With the final chapter, the gang’s all back for a movie whose superficial alterations in structure fail to distract us from the derivative plotting and the tired, by-the-numbers feel of everything onscreen. Go to Full Review

Luke G Feb 24, 2019 Not as funny as the first movie but a lot better of a sequel than the second one. This sequel had a funny premise and Ken Jeong and Zach Galifianakis had some of the best lines. I did miss seeing Mike Tyson because his cameos in the first and second movie were hilarious and I also wish they had added Justin Bartha to the fun with The Wolfpack because the second one also failed at adding him to the fun and unfortunately never got the big career that Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Ken Jeong, and Zach Galifianakis received when these movies came out. Harry S Nov 11, 2018 THIS MOVIE IS SO, SO, SO, SO, STUPID!!! Such a horrendous movie. It's completely unfunny and purely lazily written. This movie has some of the laziest writing I have ever seen in film history. All of the gags fall flat and the story is stupid. Not to mention a severely horrible misuse of the song "Hurt". The movie begins with some drunken bastard recklessly driving a car with a giraffe in the back and accidentally causes the giraffe to get decapitated by a highway sign. Oh, and the giraffe's blood from its head splattered on a family's car with two young children inside the car which made them freak out. Did the writers and director seriously think that was funny? I did not even laugh one bit during this stupid, horrible, unfunny, lazily written movie. The acting in this movie is so horrible that it's not even one bit amusing. This movie was so painful to watch. Easily one of the worst comedies of all time. This movie isn't even remotely entertaining. I didn't even make it to the end of the movie, that's how god-awful it was. Rating: 0.8/10 See more
Kylo S Aug 19, 2018 The Hangover Part III is one of the best movie thirdquel comedy in the world, Phil is strong positive male, Stu is very smart and excellent dentist man and Alan is funny last loving and comedic. 10/10 See more
Draco R Aug 12, 2018 It kinda lost the gimmick of the hangover movies... And worse, its not as funny.
Han W Jun 26, 2018 Aburrida y zero comica, no cumple con la estructura entretenida que sus antecesoras crean, pierde gracia y se vuelve una cinta basica sin nada que contar. See more
