Mar 27, 2019 If you want to know where this movie is gonna go, watch the trailer and fill in the rest. Very PG-13. Great cast. Story made me pissed at the writer. See more
Jan 14, 2019 Nice movie for a low budget flick..great acting and likable characters.. although a bit predictable I enjoyed it.
Draco M Nov 11, 2018 The main problem of this film is that the plot is unbelievably thin. While it does have some (albeit scarce) comedic moments, overall it's just far too predictable and formulaic to be taken seriously. Still, I have to give some credit to the two lead actors whose performances were actually quite adorable. Aside from that, the director did the best he could, so overall from a visual point of view "The Escort" is definitely above what you might usually expect from a film in this quality range. See more

Rey G Dec 28, 2017 Strengths: You'd probably expect a movie titled The Escort to be crude. That's not really the case here. In fact, this film has a lot of heart and it's the best thing about it. Lyndsy Fonseca (Natalie/Victoria) brings a lot to her role and really helps make her character likable. She's easily the most interesting person in the movie and the highlight each time she's on screen. Some of the supporting cast are just a joy to watch, particularly the always excellent Bruce Campbell (Charlies) and Rachel Resheff (Emily). The dialogue is mostly sharp, witty and made me laugh more than once. I enjoyed watching Natalie and Mitch (Michael Doneger) bond over their similar experiences as a prostitute and sex addict. Weaknesses: While the setup makes for a cool concept, the story unfolds in the predictable romantic comedy fashion. The leads fall for each other, avoid it and go through something negative before coming back together in the end. While I get why the formula is used (it works), you can see it coming from far off. Though Mitch is an interesting character, I can't help but feel like this would've all worked better if someone stronger played the part. Doneger wasn't bad, just easily replaceable. Tommy Dewey (JP), who is great on Hulu's Casual, and Rumer Willis (Dana) were both bit players who didn't get much of interest to do and felt lacking. Overall: This is one of, if not, the shining role in Fonseca's career. She gets a lead role and nails it. The snappy dialogue, intriguing character development and a few performances make up for a tired structure and inconsistent laughs. See more
