The Duel never feels long, Darcy-Smith allowing events to build with a deliberate delicacy that allows the final face-off between David and Abraham to explode in emotive ferocity. Go to Full Review

Pretty to look at, but the story itself is overly long and overly wrought, a flabby two-hour tale that feels about three. Go to Full Review

"The Duel" has a few ideas and a glint of politics but is largely characterized by its perplexing shifts in tone and unpersuasive story turns. Go to Full Review

Anakin W Nov 17, 2018 Good actors and shot well...but weird and the plot makes little sense
Poe M Aug 23, 2018 Watched this in two sittings.., I enjoy a western, and although this has a narrative that escalates quickly, it was definitely worth a watch. See more
May 11, 2018 This movie was very slow, but interesting. The end was absolutely pathetic and anti-climactic.
Mar 4, 2018 Do not stop thinking about Trump's wall when watching the movie
Hagrid S Dec 4, 2017 This is not one of my favorite westerns. I thought that it was very slow and boring for the most part. The last 30 minutes are somewhat decent, but the movie as a whole was a bit of a disappointment. See more
Han R Oct 11, 2017 Decent performances and an interesting plot make this sluggish Wild West drama watchable. The Duel isn’t your typical shootout western but it’s disturbing. The ending was a little unsatisfactory because there’s no telling what happened to his wife, but all in all I was intrigued to see how the story will conclude. See more
