Stephen Romei The Australian Sep 23, 2016
3.5/5
Owen, with his hangdog handsomeness, brings a fragile sense of legitimacy to our hope that Walt is a good man. Lieberher is superb as his straight-talking and honest son. The scenes between the two are tender and sometimes funny. Go to Full Review

The Confirmation takes a low-key approach to the role of faith in family life, and that attitude pays off. Go to Full Review

Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Nov 5, 2019
The Confirmation is quietly moving, laced with the humor and pain inherent to life. A beautiful character study in the dynamics of a father and son, the chemistry between Owen and Lieberher is magical - and absolutely believable. Go to Full Review

Albus S Mar 25, 2019 A brilliant film especially the ridiculous religious bits.
Jan 29, 2019 A brilliant movie. Thoroughly emotional and enjoyable. A must for all fathers.
George P Aug 26, 2017 enjoyable film..some how wished he renewed his faith in the end.
Draco R Jul 6, 2017 This movie is a very small scale movie, but I found it incredibly entertaining for the most part. It does hit the odd slow part or two, but ultimately, I think that this movie is a worth while watch. At least once. See more
Hermione W May 5, 2017 If I had to give a summary, I would say this is about dealing with the ramifications of past mistakes and trying again. Maybe also about learning to let go and try to trust someone who has hurt you. I saw other themes that would be worth mentioning if this were an English paper and not a movie review. I enjoyed this one but I don't think it's for everyone--no fast cars or easy women, just cars that need their brakes repaired. See more
