Unintentional comedy still seems the Airport series' forte, although excellent special effects work, and some decent dramatics help Concorde take off. Go to Full Review

Settling for Martha Raye, the fourth "Airport" saw the Polident shine fade from an all-star cast. Instead, it becomes a sometimes quite literal "Hollywood Squares" spinoff with eventual panelists Jimmie Walker & Charo, and eventual host John Davidson. Go to Full Review

This debacle boasts the cheesiest special effects, terrible dialogue (incredibly, written by later Oscar-winner Eric Roth), a most ludicrous narrative and a host of really bad performances led by Wagner, Jimmie JJ Walker, Avery Schreiber and Martha Raye. Go to Full Review

Luke S Apr 19, 2019 Absolutely unbelievable. The special effects we're pretty much on par for the time. The plot is so so. Cute girl discovers corporate deception and a hit is put out on her life. however the concept is completely unbelievable. The Concorde is chased by f4 phantoms? And a drone miss? And then heat seeking missles are attracted to a flare gun fired from the cockpit at twice the speed of sound?? Just ridiculous. Snakes on a plane was more believable....save yourself the trouble. Kind of a shame as the first two airport movies weren't all that bad. Maybe Dean Martin should have been the recurring role and not George Kennedy, who in my opinion was a terrible actor. He reminds me of the 1970s white version of Samuel Jackson. Constantly screaming his lines especially when not necessary. See more
Han S Mar 2, 2019 Who cares about the odd special effect miss-function. This film is glorious. Amazing Concorde shots.
Anakin W Jan 11, 2019 Wouldn't be surprise if this purely campy, dull, nonsensical cinematic equivalent of darts, with horrible aim, is secretly a factor of persuasion that pushed the recall of the titular line of flight besides crash landing the once-impressive franchise after the validated loss of altitude. Ron P Jul 28, 2017 The fourth and final film in the Airport series ends on a cheesy, unrealistic and mostly boring effort that lacks any of the charm of the previous three. Now realism and logic was hardly the strong part of the previous film but this third sequel takes those lacking elements to a whole new level nevermind the fact this film is more of a corporate conspiracy thriller than a disaster film though it is a disaster of a film. Though it is nice to Robert Wagner and Susan Blakely together again after the far superior The Towering Inferno (though they never actually interacted as characters on that film) the cast itself is the weakest of the series as well as the score which sounds like a news channel theme in parts. The action is also mostly ludicrous (the infamous flare gun scene being particularly laughable) with bad special effects even for the time and a plot that tries to change up the formula but instead is utterly boring and predictable. I will say that the sabotaging of the Concorde and the disaster that unfolds due to said sabotaging is fun, the film is the most action packed from the series (for better or for worse) and we finally have a controlled crash landing in the series but it all ends in a rush while being totally unsatisfying. So like the last film not the worst that you could watch from the disaster genre that dominated the seventies but was one film that helped signal the end of an interesting genre that wouldn't surface again until the mid-nineties. Leia L May 16, 2017 Some laughable moments here with back-to-back disastrous flights for the Concorde as the head of a corporation tries to kill a woman with incriminating documents implicating him in the sale of arms to terrorist nations. Was amusing watching the Concorde dodge heat-seeking missiles and fire from fighter jets. Two things I could have done without, the George Kennedy love scene and the attempted humour of having Martha Raye constantly occupy the lavatory. See more
Luke W Mar 25, 2017 Really bad movie. Special effects were really bad and the acting was horrible.
