An amusing anecdote about a hardy duck who lays golden eggs, which is lifted clear out of the ordinary by a comedienne named Sandy Duncan. Go to Full Review

Easily one of the Disney studio's very worst live-action family comedies. Ever. Go to Full Review

Hagrid W Oct 28, 2017 I'm tremendously distressed about how roughly the animals in this movie were handled. Apart from that it was hard to find any of the characters likeable or sympathetic, except of course Charlie. I wanted to like Jimmy, and maybe part of me did, but most of his character development was done through increasing level of whininess. I wanted to like Albert, and he did win points for bringing the duck home instead of letting it be cooked, but that was about where it ended with him. I think I did accomplish mostly liking the wife, even if she was a complete moron, she was nicer and significantly less of a gold digger than similar Disney roles like Betsy in The Absent Minded Professor. That was it for likeable characters on any level. I guess the brothers with the.... go kart? I don't know what you call it... but the brothers were the more fun element to the film so I guess that gains them a little likability. I feel like the humor was probably dated, and that I'd probably find the whackiness of the prolonged chase seen amplified and more endearing if I had seen this as a kid. See more
George L Mar 28, 2015 This was a part of my childhood, A film that not only was made to be a pure Disney classic with a lot of strength to combine the story's generic plot and different sets, but it also refutes to it as becoming the absolute snore fest of a film to ever be rediscovered of all cinematic masterpieces, I saw this on the bus at high school, there was some redeem to the film but shows up to why it may somehow lead up to other classics. I'm going to give The $1,000,000 Duck a C minus. See more
Kylo P May 13, 2014 The critics don't know golden entertainment even when it is as clear as day. I wouldn't go as far as to say that this is one of my favorite live-action Disney films, but it is a lot of fun. The remarkably talented Dean Jones puts on a wild show. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves as so few can entertain on screen the way he did. (First and only viewing - In my mid-twenties) See more
