What to Know

Critics Consensus

Worth seeking out for only the most hardcore of Margot Robbie completists, Terminal lives down to the medical definition of its title in dreadfully derivative fashion.

It's an often stylish but rather hollow experience, like a feature-length pop video or an Edward Hopper painting without the soul. Go to Full Review

The rich talent on display here is woefully let down by the narrative equivalent of ripping up jigsaw pieces and then wrapping the remains in sellotape. Go to Full Review

A film that makes the viewer feel as if their brain has been extracted through their nostrils with a drinking straw: an inane and relentlessly boring future noir... Go to Full Review

Terminal is fuelled by Robbie’s central performance but even that can’t stop it going completely off the rails as it reaches its final destination. Go to Full Review

It really doesn't offer that much, and to her credit, Margot Robbie is good in the movie, but I hope that she chooses a better project next time. Go to Full Review

The film will make the most of your 4K television, but the candy-colored visuals grow tiresome. As my father-in-law says, "I like ice cream, but I wouldn't want to eat it at every meal." Go to Full Review

Hagrid S Apr 9, 2019 A subpar neo-noir thriller, Terminal has a strong artistic vision but a rather uninspired story. Looking to become a crime lord's exclusive contract killer, an assassin sets out to eliminate her competition. Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, and Mike Myers lead the cast and give pretty good performances, especially Robbie. And the dialog is incredibly well-written; having a real sharp, clever wit to it. Also, the set designs and cinematography are extraordinarily well-done; creating a rich, captivating noir aesthetic. However the plot is extremely formulaic, and is full of obvious twists that can be seen coming from a mile away. In fact, one of the film's major problems is that it tries one twist too many; which falls flat and doesn't work. While Terminal has some things going for it, it ends up being just another rote crime film that's been done a hundred times before. See more
Mar 27, 2019 Despite a disturbingly convincing performance from Robbie as an "angel-faced kid with a dark heart" and committed, but less impressive, showings from a veteran supporting cast, many of the "twists" in this neon noir are so predictable its maddening and its conclusion is so contrived that it just feels dull and unsatisfying , as if you've just been lobotomized. Given the films nihilistic tone, it's entirely possible that this is its point. However, that doesn't make it any more pleasant. See more
Luke W Mar 10, 2019 Visually stunning. Not much plot line to it but that is not always a necessity in film. Great movie for capturing your attention for an hour and a half with colors the will captivate. Has a great golden age of Hollywood mixed with a futuristic feeling. Great for anyone who loves plots like âAnd Then There Where Noneâ? or who appreciate movies for the visual. See more
Mar 4, 2019 Muy compleja, una pelicula diferente e interesante
Feb 26, 2019 Essentially, the entire plot of the movie was delivered in a 3 minute long, boring, piece of exposition somewhere towards the end. See more
Albus G Feb 21, 2019 I enjoyed it but appear to be in the minority on that.
