Sherilyn Connelly Village Voice Apr 5, 2016
The film's tone is all over the map, with weird bursts of casual racism toward its ethnic supporting cast and unnecessarily explicit sex scenes that approach a The Room level of ickiness. Go to Full Review

Superficially -- and this is a story very much concerned with the superficial -- this is a light, breezy affair with sexually assertive characters who know what they want and have a great time together. Go to Full Review

The rom-com blight continues with this white-bread-in-every-way contemplation of modern relationships. Go to Full Review

Ron S Aug 12, 2017 The film is not completely bad, though. Even if I would not recommend it, it has its good parts: after the least inspired 'before the mirror' scene I've seen in the last 20 years (just few minutes after the beginning of the flick), Grant Rosenmeyer redeems himself with a convincing performance, and so does the whole cast. Ryan Sage's work (editing and direction) seems OK and the same ingredients in a less confused recipe would have produced a different result. See more
