Despite a fantastic premise and a strong ensemble of characters, it misses the grindhouse charm it was targeting due to cheap animation and poor pacing. Go to Full Review

It's a far superior film than its live action counterpart that's uncompromisingly violent and dark. The tone is wholly fitting for a movie focusing on remorseless killers. Go to Full Review

Super-violent, bloody animated tale meant for adults. Go to Full Review

... the most fun I've probably ever had watching a DC animated film, and a big part of that is the fact that it doesn't seem beholden to existing continuity, sequel/franchise demands, or actor vanity Go to Full Review

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay is a good onscreen representation of these popular characters, and the mature approach feels true to the spirit of the comics. Go to Full Review

I'm not sure what lessons the beleaguered DCEU could learn from a movie like this, but Hell to Pay is the best Suicide Squad adaptation yet. Go to Full Review

Ron G Apr 23, 2019 I am a fan of DC animated film but this one just did not hit the mark for me. This is the best Suicide Squad movie out there, lots of violence, superheroes and villains being killed left and right, and a twisted ending makes it a good watch. Still, I felt it too be too serious, the fun factor was missing. Also not having a comic background and not knowing the lesser known characters, I just did not have an emotional investment on any of these guys. See more
Theodore R Oct 21, 2018 If you're looking for a proper Suicide Squad film, this is a close as you're going to get (so far). Fast-paced, action-packed and violent with a dash of mature-ish humour, the tone of the film is pretty much spot-on and exactly what you'd expect (and want) from a film about a bunch of tough-to-deal-with, eccentric killers forced into a team together. It's full of interesting characters and great interactions which means you're never bored. It plays out more like an action/thriller as opposed to your typical superhero film, complete with a few unexpected twists, which is definitely a good thing. This is one for an older audience and is just a helluva fun time. Once again, it proves that Marvel may be the kings of live-action, but DC is light-years ahead when it comes to animations. See more
Han R Oct 5, 2018 A violent, funny, accurate DC movie that, although animated, proves that adults can have just as much fun watching super hero movies as children. See more
Leia S Sep 17, 2018 No holds barred Suicide Squad lah ni! Bagus sangat! Nice touch on the Flashpoint arc too
Han S Sep 11, 2018 A more adult film to add to the new DC animated universe, with a great connection to the Flashpoint Paradox.
Ron M Sep 3, 2018 Lately, DC's animated features have been a bit of a mixed bag of good and bad. "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay" seems to suffer that same fate but in a way that still leaves the film entertaining. On the negative side, the film has some really awkward character animation and some really horrible 3-D animation. On the positive side, however, the story is great and does a killer job of connecting itself to one of DC's best animated films, the voice acting is fantastic, and the action and content is able to be exciting and dark without it feeling like it is being gratuitous in nature. Basically, it is one of those rare occasions where DC manages to deliver an R-rated feature that doesn't feel like the goal was to get an R-rating but rather tell a great story that just so happens to get an R-rating. Overall, this is a great addition to DC's animated library. Hello! My name is Rev.
