Avery (Henry Thomas), Max (Sean Patrick Flanery) and two friends (Jay Mohr, Jeremy Sisto), all wealthy men in their 20s, kidnap former Mafia boss Charlie (Christopher Walken) in an attempt to pay the $2 million ransom on the unrelated kidnapping of Avery's sister. Their plan runs into trouble at every turn, and, with the help of Charlie's psychological manipulation, the men begin to suspect that one or more among them was involved in the first kidnapping.

...a potentially electrifying premise that is, virtually from the word go, employed to lackluster and interminable effect...

"Suicide Kings" doesn't take the kamikaze approach of going in for the quick kill. Rather, the convoluted story aims for plot twists and revelations that never really materialize in this tale of a bungled kidnapping.

Just remember that the film is low on violence and high on acting content and you should make it through the film just fine.

Rips right into its twisted plot and seldom slows. The movie is only 15 minutes old before one character says, 'This has gone too far.'

Christoffer Walken really is the King. Not very much else to are..

Not even the endlessly watchable wiles of Christopher Walken can save this miserably constructed and paced wannabe crime film. Following shamelessly in the footsteps of far superior movies such as "Reservoir Dogs" and "GoodFellas," "Suicide Kings" not only possesses neither the charm nor the intrigue of either option, but it's also just not well put together overall. Featuring a slew of unnecessary scenes, flashbacks, and dialogue tangents, all you'd have to do is tack on a shitty downer of an ending to make me really not appreciate this flick. Oh, wait. They did that too. Yeesh.

Interesting premise. Fairly typical 90s indie flick though. But it's good enough throughout, with a cool cast. Leary and Galecki shine most.

a little to long the score did not age well acting is hit and miss but Christopher walken keeps the story grounded and the twists are just good enough to not be a disappointment
