It can be crass, but there is merit in this movie's sense of time and place. Go to Full Review

A robust, atmospheric suspense thriller that shows how politics and personal ambition can have a toxic effect on justice. Go to Full Review
Naila Scargill Trebuchet Feb 28, 2019
As the killer (a very good Károly Hajduk) stalks his victims, the shots are stylised and would not feel out of place in a slasher movie. Go to Full Review

A topsy-turvy mystery and some arresting visuals in a narrative that doesn't pull any punches make Strangled well worth the watch - just make sure you're in the right mood for it. Go to Full Review

Harry P Mar 15, 2018 Authentic looking 50s true story of Hungarian serial rapist. First half hour is very violent and graphic. It gets more interesting after that. Pacing, Cinematography, Lighting and acting well done. Probably the best part of the movie is the skill of the director, small town Hungary, and the primitive soviet-era buildings. I would not seek this movie out. But it was enjoyable. Interested to see what the director will do next. See more
