All visual flash and no script, with comatose performances to boot. Go to Full Review
Derek Adams Time Out Feb 9, 2006
Mix American gangsters, molls and majorettes with Polish avant-garde jazz musicians against a Newcastle background - and what you've got is a curious homage to B movie Hollywood and the rain-washed neon of the pulps. Go to Full Review

Draco W Feb 10, 2019 It was a good movie but that horrible screeching music was annoying.
George W Feb 6, 2018 Decent neo-noir, that's actually more of a romantic thriller. Where American gangster Tommy Lee Jones tries to move in on a British city in decline to carve out a piece for himself. Sting is actually pretty good in it. As is the chemistry between Bean and Griffith. See more
Finn S Nov 7, 2017 Stormy Monday is a decent film. It is about a crooked American businessman who tries to push the shady influential owner of a nightclub to sell him the club. Melanie Griffith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Sting give good performances. The script is a little slow in places. Mike Figgis did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and mystery. See more
Anakin S Mar 27, 2017 Decent thriller has Tommy Lee Jones as an American businessman trying to force owners to sell him real estate in economically-depressed Newcastle. Danger ensues when a Jazz club owner refused his overtures. See more
