"Sha Po Lang" is an outstanding film, as Wilson Yip manages to present a great combination of crime thriller and martial arts film, through a unique view, that differs much from the plethora of HK action films.

There's about 10 minutes of goodness here, and worth seeing if only for those moments.

The film's signature pieces are its fight scenes, but Yip works best in the quieter moments.

It's pretty damn thin and generic in the story department with characters that are mostly one-dimensional. It's not terrible, but there's not much that's particularly special about this film at all, except the outstanding fight scenes that are exciting to watch, particularly when you have talents like Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung at each other's throats. Watch this one for the action, the rest of it is just bland noise to sit through until the next fight.

Kill zone... Wow... Aptly named. Lots of fast paced action, interesting storyline (not super original but still good). My only criticism is why must Chinese movies have such depressing endings?! People like happy endings.
