Spinout is typical of the period, with Elvis choosing between going boom-boom with the ladies or going vroom-vroom with the cars. Go to Full Review

Spinout is harmless enough, if about as deep as the stream Presley crashes his jaunty sportscar into during the opening sequence. Go to Full Review

Jun 11, 2018 It's an Elvis cult movie--if Elvis mania can be considered a cult--and for Elvis fans, that's all that matters. On the other hand, this is a great car movie for the car spotter who can ignore all the Elvis adoration. Among other cars are the 1929 Duesenburg Model J that Elvis tows the trailer with his Shelby AC Cobra 427. There's Max Balshowsky's Old Yaller Mk IV, Bill Thomas's Cheetah 2, a Corvette Grand Sport and the first McLaren, an M1A driven by Graham Hill winning the LA Times GP, and then Elvis in the movie. And that's just for starters. See it at the drive-in, or at home with getting screen caps to identify all the different cars. See more
Albus M Aug 30, 2017 Spinout is a disappointing film. It is about a rock & roll singer who becomes an auto racer. Elvis Presley and Shelley Fabares give horrible performances. The script is badly written. Norman Taurog did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. See more
