When the manager of an American chain restaurant is selected to attend a special training program in Italy, her head swims with dreams of European glamour and romance. But the trip turns out to be much different -- and possibly more dangerous -- than the exotic getaways she imagines.

Critics Consensus

If it never quite lives up to its potential, Spin Me Round remains a dizzily diverting comedy elevated by Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza's performances.

Everything is thrown into the grinder of a ridiculous final act that shreds any subtextual nuance about workplace power dynamics, sexual antics, and blind romance.

Familiarity and danger rest side-by-side. The resulting movie is something off-kilter and oddly entertaining as it toggles almost imperceptibly between the all too real and the unreal.

Not even Nivola’s unsettling charm can drum up intrigue into what’s underneath the surface of high society’s most hedonistic tendencies. It’s like a recipe that’s way more fun to make than it is to eat, in cooking terms.
