What to Know

Critics Consensus

In spite of solid performances from Kate Hudson and John Krasinski, Something Borrowed is an unpleasant misfire that lives down to its title.

This is another supposedly female-friendly motion picture that secretly hates women, making both of its main two characters as unappealing as possible seemingly every step of the way. Go to Full Review

Finn G Apr 2, 2019 Leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth. The movie is forcing you to root for a cheating fiance and a lying best friend.
Luke R Feb 10, 2019 I like this type of movie- cant help it. My only problem is that I wanted someone to be in love with Ethan- but maybe thats because *I* am. Actually, I have another complaint- why does Ginnifer Goodwin always play the second choice character? As if shes not totally beautiful. Its like when Halle Berry played second to Robin Givens in Boomerang. As if. See more
Draco W Dec 26, 2018 This is a great movie. I would say a must see
Kylo L Nov 25, 2018 This movie is awful. Not only does it portray a false relationship among lovers but also a false relationship among friends. I find it hard to even find a true protagonist in this movie as Rachel is going behind her "best friends" back to steal her fiancé. This is neither a heroic act nor a romantic act as it is purely selfish. The only redeeming character found amidst the painfully overdrawn cheating scenes is Ethan. (John Krasinski). As the movie continues to try and convince us that Rachel isn't a backstabbing mistress, even though we know she is, I can't help but wonder if my life is better than a rom com. Between the plot and Rachel's unfornate bangs this movie is an utter disappointment. See more
Poe R Oct 20, 2018 Well, i like this, this is for me one of the good chick flick movie.
Aug 24, 2018 Rachel and Dex are the most boring characters ever. Rachel is a terrible, jealous friend. And that whole act like "I'm not hot boohoo" is so stupid. No wonder Dex likes her, they are both boring af. The only likeable person in the movie was Darcy even if we weren't supposed to like her. At list she's fun. Stupid movie. See more
