Abraham G Sep 28, 2018 Nick films were huge in the late 90's. Along with MTV Films (much more successful in hindsight,) they had some really good movies between 96-2000. This is where the wheel started to fall off. for Nick. The idea was genius; you get 2 real likeable kids, a subplot for the teen audience, add in Chevy Chase, Pam Grier, Jean Smart, Chris Elliot, and Iggy Pop in a movie for the price of one. What could go wrong? Well a ton of things did. For one there are too many plotlines going on. The teen romance arc is useless because the main target played by Emmanuelle Chriqui is nowhere as attractive as or as good of a character as Schyler Fisk was. They coulda dumped the whole rich girl character for focusing on the two friends just figuring out they liked each other more naturally. It woulda worked they had chemistry. As for the kids they are given the least time of the two youth groups which is a shame because Peck and Grey were good together as friends and they had Chris Elliot to work with sadly all three got nowhere the amount of time they needed. Elliot had a whole backstory cut out which really hurt his character. Shame. The biggest wastes are the adults here. Chase is reduced to being a weatherman in a petty squabble over ratings with a douchy rival which is a shame because it hyped me to watch it as a kid the fact he was in it. Iggy's wasted as a ornery DJ (granted he was funny but he deserved better,) and Grier is the saddest of all as she barely has anything to do. What a waste of talent! It seems to me this is Nick's version of doing an MTV films movie for a kid audience. A lot of that shows in the teen romance arc that took up most of the movie. Just not a good way to waste time. Should have had more time instead on Elliot vs the kids and the adults too. Chase and Iggy or Elliot and Iggy coulda had some good bits together. Same for the kids they were funny for kid actors and Elliot being there made it even better. Only real plus out of this are my nostalgic memories of going to the cinema to see this and the Hoku song. What a waste of movie. They shoulda done what they wanted to do from the start and have it be the Pete and Pete movie. It woulda been a great way to end that series plus you woulda had Iggy on board regardless. Imagine Chevy or Elliot as the main baddie in that movie? Good stuff. We also coulda had a Keenan and Kel movie too for the amount of budget this movie took. Ugh why Nick? Why? See more

Kylo P Apr 26, 2018 I loved seeing a young Josh Peck in a movie, but he wasn't the main character so it wasn't wonderful. Most of the humor fell flat but the novelty and shortness of the movie left me liking it more than the majority. See more

Albus R May 13, 2017 ugh god this moive was so damn boreing when i say it. bunch of kids dont care about school and want days off from school. then get mad at a snow plow guy that is just doing his job. so they try to stop him lol thing belongs in the 5 bucks bind at walmart. only good thing it has is Chevy Chase in it See more
