Matriarch Rose has made her Table Rock Lake house her home for over 50 years. When her daughter Patty and granddaughter Allison arrive with an old camera they've found and show the pictures from the 50-year-old film that they had developed, Rose is transported back to the early 1960s when Louise and Zee entered her and husband Joe's life.

"Snapshots" wallows a little too readily in cliché to be quite as stirring as its story - one drawn from Corran's own family history - sounds on paper.

"Snapshots" nicely shuttles between past and present to tell its affecting, evocative tale of familial and romantic love among several generations of women.

While the film is maybe a little too earnest for its own good, the performances across the board are fantastic.

This movie is a beauty. Love expressed, questioned, shocking and gentle. It is definitely a movie for mainstream as well as lgbt audiences. A genuine crossover movie. You will love it.

This is a big film in a little package. I watched to see Piper Laurie. She is outstanding. So is the entire cast. The story is simple yet here I am two days later thinking about it. Some of the lines just stick with you. Loved it and will watch again.
