He awakens 200 years later, revived by a group of underground radicals who oppose the oppressive regime in power. Once the police arrive to arrest the group, Miles flees, disguised as a robot. [Allen] has provided us with our comedy of the year and enabled us to call it hilarious without a quibble or a hesitation -- just with bellylaughs and guffaws. Go to Full Review

The most physical of Allen’s comedies, this finds the actor paying tribute to some of his favorites like Bob Hope and the Marx Brothers. Go to Full Review

Rey W Dec 26, 2018 The one in which Allen pastiches Logan's Run, Soylent Green, and so on, leaving little that is deep or futuristic for post-70s generations, and also introduces the unpleasant idea, often repeated, as Allen as 'desirable to women', completely with that sucking-kissing thing he likes to do on camera. Poe W Oct 25, 2018 Best family comedy of all time? My kids wet their pants from laughing so hard!
Luke W Oct 7, 2018 Sleeper is a novelty simply because of the fact that it brings comedy to the genre of science fiction. Starring Woody Allen and Diane Keaton Sleeper is set in a future with government oppression. Woody Allen plays his usual neurotic self and is ably supported by a gorgeous Diane Keaton. Sleeper is one of the most underrated Allen films and there is no reason why you shouldn't see this one. See more
Hermione S Jun 19, 2018 Sleeper is a great comedy science fiction- a sub- genre which barely has any recommendations. Set in a future with Government oppression Woody Allen plays his usual neurotic self and is ably supported by a gorgeous Diane Keaton. Finn P Jan 9, 2018 Really great opening with beautiful shots of a near futuristic future. He does a great job at painting a serious sci-fi picture at the beginning. That wheel chair scene, hilarious. I love the locations Woody used for this movie. Makes you wonder where the hell he went. Woody Allen's hilarious. He gets comedy. I love the music. Even though it's from a different time and era, it fits whatever is going on in the scene wonderfully. I like the HAL reference with the robot. I also liked the messages about political leaders and the future. Overall, really funny movie. See more
