One week before his wedding day, Jonah and his groomsmen hit the town for a wild night of club hopping and debauchery. The night soon takes a twisted turn for the worse when the group is invited to a seedy underground club. After Jonah frees a seemingly imprisoned dancer, he realizes that the woman he released is actually a terrifying, legendary creature that will stop at nothing to claim her prey.

This is fundamentally the main issue with SiREN as a whole. It's frequently, often laugh-out-loud funny but it's not nearly scary enough to qualify it as a decent horror-comedy.

Upon stumbling across the trailer for this movie, i instantly knew that it was an adaptation of the short story from the film "VHS". I was excited, as this was one of my many favourites from the anthology of shorts from the film. I had to watch it... Unfortunately it was an absoultle let down from the original premise of the story. The main plot points were still there but other than that it was over the top, too much of a weird background and had a stupid other worldly supernauturaly vibe to the whole thing.... i mean, its a monster movie great, but how many did you nees other than just the main antagonists? Poor poor poor, highly disapointed and i hope that the poeple behind the scenes of the original short are aswel.

This is exactly what I'm looking for in a fun weekend horror film. Very solid writing, good acting, a solid monster, and an overall fun ride. It's got some very Lovecraftian overtones, which I loved, and the characters, acting, and writing were all well above expectations.

Plunged head long into a fantastic world of myths and horrors alongside a group of idiot bachelor party studs. We find ourselves in a supernatural exclusive night club filled with fantastic tributes to the horror genre. Not a lot of scares but a thrilling adventure nonetheless.
