Theodore S Mar 2, 2019 This is Rotten, really? I know Sinbad is definitely a designated hero and the story isn't anything we've never seen before but come on guys. Maybe it's the nostalgia factor here talking and my mourning for the death of DreamWorks' 2D animation department. Because yeah, this movie led to financial losses for DreamWorks that actually forced them to abandon hand-drawn animation and place their focus on fully computer-animated films not including Aardman collaborations. While those two pointers mentioned at the beginning of this reviews are bad qualities, I still think this movie's a fun swashbuckling animated adventure. The animation is gorgeous, the voice acting is good, the action and adventure are a ton of fun, the romance develops properly rather than coming out of nowhere like Disney movies are often guilty of having and the villainess is great. It helps that she;s the most well-animated character in the entire movie. Bonus points for being animated entirely in Linux, during a time period when people scoffed at the idea of being able to animate a movie with it. Legend of the Seven Seas isn't perfect but if this was going to be DreamWorks Animation's final traditionally animated movie, I think they went out in style. See more

George S Dec 23, 2018 This is an OUTSTANDING movie for families and I suggest you ignore the other reviews. The artwork and animation is GORGEOUS, exciting and fun (but bloodless) action scenes, and some great inside jokes for the parents. On occasion parts of the plot are predictable, but I think that comes with the "happy ending" territory. Watch this one! See more

Poe R Mar 15, 2018 So is "Sinbad" an animated masterpiece? Sure not. But it is a masterpiece of animation! The animation is really breathtaking at times I swear. The use of computer animation is heavy but it was a common thing that period. But there are scenes when you just can't help it but marvel at the things you're watching. Creatively it sure is beautiful.Plot wise it's really weak. The story if you think about it makes no real sense,and many of the things occurring on screen are simply there with no purpose. But I really cannot look past of the beauty of the animation. It's really a silly adventure movie, but one that is done beautifully. "Sinbad: Legend of the Seas" deserves its stars for its animation. Harry L Feb 12, 2018 Well made entertainment with action, humour, romance and good lessons in friendship, trust and duty to compensate for its at times cringe-worthy dialogue. Michelle Pfeiffer's performance and character easily takes the crown as the most memorable thing in Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas. See more
