In SHADOW FORCE, Kyrah (Kerry Washington) and Isaac (Omar Sy) were once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. They broke the rules by falling in love, and in order to protect their son, they go underground. With a large bounty on their heads, and the vengeful Shadow Force hot on their trail, one family's fight becomes all-out war.

Critics Consensus

Shadow Force is a painfully generic action film weighed down by a lackluster script, predictable twists, and a sentimental undertone that fails to resonate.

The charisma-endowed Washington and Sy do all they can to make the proceedings engrossing but even they are hard-pressed to make it interesting.

The writing is godawful – the twists are of the lame-tryhard variety, and Carnahan wedges in some meager sentimental family-is-everything thematic balogna – and the execution depressingly generic.

The film opens with a gunpowdered family drama, but soon sheds all but the automatic clichés in which neither Kerry Washington nor Omar Sy manage to convey. [Full review in Spanish]
