Secret Service agent Pete Garrison (Michael Douglas) investigates a colleague's murder and subsequently becomes a suspect due to the machinations of a blackmailer who knows the secret he is hiding. Disgraced, dismissed and now a fugitive, Garrison must both clear his name and save the president from assassination.

Critics Consensus

The Sentinel starts off well enough but quickly wears thin with too many plot holes and conventional action sequences.

The fast-food of the genre - it "gets the job done" and fills you up, but the hunger for more will undoubtedly return sooner rather than later.

More Shadow Conspiracy than In The Line Of Fire, this suffers from serious quality control issues. If you're looking for superior suspense, buy a 24 box set instead.

An enjoyably frenzied pulp thriller, not unlike the scripts for an entire season of TV's 24 being fed through a shredder over at The West Wing.

Conventional action sequences and a mediocre plot render The Sentinel as a disappointment.

What is with Michael Douglas and having an affair...? lol jeez! Decent action/thriller, but nothing really noteworthy. Basically just a time waster if you're in the mood for this kind of thing.

Secret Service Film yang kurang macho karena peran utamanya juga udah ga bisa macho2, mau ada aksinya, mau plotnya keren tapi mentok karena casting (Douglas) nya juga terbatas karakternya buat main film ginian. Jadinya, begitulah ...
