What to Know

Critics Consensus

Rush Hour 3 is a tired rehash of the earlier films, and a change of scenery can't hide a lack of new ideas.

No matter how fast Chris Tucker shoots his mouth or Jackie Chan flashes his fists, they can't recapture the charm of the original Rush Hour in this third installment. Go to Full Review

Like Lethal Weapon, this franchise has become lazier and less thrilling with each instalment. Hopefully, unlike Lethal Weapon, they'll stop at Part Three. Go to Full Review

The third installment is so cartoonishly stupid it makes the original look like a classic. Go to Full Review

By the third time around, though, we know that these two get along and it's just not as funny anymore. Go to Full Review

Kylo G Mar 6, 2019 This movie is by far my least favorite rush hour film. Its not as good as 2 or 3. Still worth watching atleast once.
George S Jan 19, 2019 Arguably works as an example of the sort of red flags one might want to look out for if they suspect that a film's director is (like Brett Ratner) a sex offender. But as a movie? Nah, not so much. See more
Finn M Dec 18, 2018 A sad film to end the trilogy(No fourth film has been released yet). The formula is in place but the performers are going through the motions. It's a stale version of the previous movies, and they weren't all that great to begin with. One could argue that director Brett Ratner at least invested Rush Hour with some energy. Even during the climactic battle at the Eiffel Tower, there's nothing resembling that here. This is just another disposable summer movie - so lackluster that it's not even worth searching out when it plays on television. The Rush Hour experience, which never attained anything resembling full speed, has come to a crashing halt. Jackie Chan is just too old now and it is sad to see the end outtakes(which usually involved all physical gags Chan failed at) feature no physical gags at all. Chris Rock is tolerable. See more
Luke P Jul 20, 2018 When Jackie Chan is lying on his deathbed, the assembled watchers will ask him 'Do you regret anything, Jackie?' With his dying breath, he will gasp 'Rush Hour'. 'Which one?', they will say, leaning over poor old Jackie. The answer never comes as Jackie Chan breathes his last. A pause ensues then, in sonorous tones the atrending physician says '3'. 'Come again? ' the assembled throng ask. 'It has to be 3' says the doctor. 'They were all crap but 3 plumbs new lows'. Those gathered recognise the unassailable truth of the physician's words. As they leave, the doctor quietly says 'We'll always have Karate Kid, though'. See more
Rey M Dec 6, 2017 Lots of people hate this movie. I enjoyed it because it had the same style as the first two. It's over the top but in a good way. Chris Tucker is still hilarious and Jackie Chan is still bad ass so this makes for a pretty good movie. See more
Rey R Oct 13, 2017 Nowhere near as funny as the first 2. Hardly a chuckle in the theatre
