What to Know

Critics Consensus

A less satisfying rehash that generally lives down to the negative stereotype of sequels, RoboCop 2 tries to deliver more of everything and ends up with less.

Director Irvin Kershner and writers Frank Miller and Walon Green have done a decent job of copying the form of the first film, but they've missed the zing, the sharp edge of futuristic cynicism. Go to Full Review

George M Nov 4, 2018 Not a terrible movie, nor is it a great sequel either. It's near 'copy and paste' with its writing by redoing what the first movie did, but it's still watchable and entertaining. See more
Finn S Sep 11, 2018 It's not so much that it's terrible, it's just that it's disappointing after the immeasurable success of the original movie. See more
Poe R Aug 25, 2018 While it is muddled, it's not nearly as good as the original and has a lot of ideas that kinda go nowhere, it's nowhere near as bad as everyone says it is. If you are someone who likes shlocky action movies that don't take themselves seriously, I recommend it. See more
