Jake Green is a hotshot gambler, long on audacity and short on common sense. Jake served seven years in jail for a crime he didn't commit after taking the rap for mean crime boss Dorothy Macha. Upon his release he takes on Macha in a private casino game, causes humiliation, and wins. While Macha puts out an order on Jake's life, Jake meets brothers Avi and Zach who protect him and plot to take Macha down.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

In attempting to meld his successful previous formulas with philosophical musings, Guy Ritchie has produced an incoherent misfire.

Ron R Feb 12, 2019 This movie is very dense with multiple levels of understanding. My first watch, I hardly grasped any of it, but I knew there was something more to be understood. This movie is: Gold (pun intended). See more
Nov 23, 2018 Film is not for everyone. But once you understand it, it will become your favorite.
Harry W Oct 1, 2018 This is my favourite film ever.
Harry W Aug 12, 2018 Besides of its intelligence in the making, the plot is way too complicated and couldn't follow once new things revealed in every 15 or 20 minutes. But still trying to figure out what's the whole idea of the film... Anyway it could be more understandable with its complicated plot but if it is made intensionally confusing then no way to figure out or memorable. See more
Jul 5, 2018 probably no one liked it that much because you have to have a 124 I.Q. for openers to even begin to understand this brilliant movie. my only problem is they refuse to label the ego as satan. which ego is for the most part. but then richie, brilliant as he is, has resigned himself to godless philosophies, sadly. I've seen this movie about 6 times, each time it gets more brilliantly threaded together and fascinating. mark strong's hitman is unforgettable. but that's me. See more
Jun 6, 2018 A lot of people gave this bad reviews because they found it hard to follow. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that it doesn't make any sense. Why do people think that a movie should be easy to follow, or easy to understand? See more
