Jan 4, 2019 Like the original the jokes are hit and miss but Return of the Killer Tomatoes! post-modern reflections on genre convention and marketing make it historically an important and underrated movie that deserves more praise. This ends up being its greatest strength and shows intelligence rarely displayed in cinema comedy at the time. It's also a lot fun. See more

Rey G Oct 30, 2018 A campy schlocky romp that leans into itself with joy. The film is a near perfect b-movie homage and relishes in its own stoopidity. John Astin is a legend and elevates anything he's in. It's a 100% perfect movie for the intended audience - people like me who want to watch something dumb, fun and madcap late at night. However, all that said, it's also well made and a rather sharp satire with lashes of meta thrown in, so not just a no brainer flick. See more
