The Return Of Swamp Thing is a humorous and oddly sweet action adventure that wants nothing more than to entertain you with its quirkiness from start to finish Go to Full Review

Yes, it's a story as corny and clichd as they come, but that's part of the picture's charm. Go to Full Review

This sequel, coming as it did after Alan Moore's critically acclaimed, award-winning run on the comic, looked really sad. Go to Full Review

Leia W Dec 14, 2018 So let's talk about what I like in this movie. The costume is great, the comedy is so outrageous it almost works, and Abby is so bizarrely written you almost can get into it. The monsters and plot are strange as hell, but underneath all that good bad is mostly bad. See more
Hermione L Nov 4, 2018 The writing has one upside and that is, it explains Arcane's return. Everything else though is a missed opportunity with the level of camp raised, weak villain motives, similar plot and characters. Yet, even with this, the actors are okay, the practical effects look upgraded, the cinematography is nice and the music is even better than before. Albus L Mar 18, 2018 Dumb, chaotic and derivative with poor special effects and poorer acting, The Return of Swamp Thing fails to produce anything resembling horror or drama. It also lacks the pathos that was the saving grace of the first film, but here's the thing: it retains the same goofy charm and it's so clear that its not taking itself seriously that it is at least more tonally consistent than its predecessor and it can be fun in its sheer preposterousness. Its faster pacing means it doesn't have the same stretches of boredom that the 1982 film suffered from, indeed its determination to cram in every 80s and monster movie cliché as possible into its short runtime (and to do so in as colourful a way as possible), ensures that it's never dull. Albus L Feb 3, 2018 Not as good as its predecessor but still campy fun.
Luke R Jul 5, 2017 This tonally inaccurate adaptation is still a fun 80's B-movie full of ridiculous set pieces, dialogue and (surely) two of the greatest performances by child actors of all time. See more
Poe P May 28, 2017 The two kids were funny and there was a lot of corny humor throughout. Pretty stupid
