Critics Consensus

Resident Evil: Retribution offers everything one might reasonably expect from the fifth installment in a heavily action-dependent franchise -- which means very little beyond stylishly hollow CGI-enhanced set pieces.

Nobody goes to a Resident Evil movie expecting a classic but this fifth entry in the series is just plain cruddy.

The script is incoherent and the acting is terrible -- avatars would have been an improvement.

The degree to which this fast-food movie and its predecessors are completely forgettable is counteracted by Anderson’s usual clip-show recaps at the beginning of each new sequel.

To make up for the utter lake of sensibility, the film incorporates lots of spontaneous action, sudden crashes or explosions or gunfire, and hyperactive zombies.

I was starting to sort of like these films, in a silly way, but this was so empty, filled with so many long scenes of characters just shooting machine guns at each other....

much better than the previous one, it advances much faster, and it is difficult to get bored with this adventure full of zombies and action.

How Tiring The Sound Of Endless Machine-Gun Fire Does Get... -Sigh- Added To This Is The Hero One-Up-Manship Lines Of Dialogue That Crap On About Galliantly Saving Each Other, Saving The World, Saving Thus Franchise From Itself?? No..This Is A Lost Cause. The Action Sequences Are It's Kinda Only Redeeming Feature..But Even That Steals Much Of It's Content From A Ridley Scott Alien Film.. Which I Recommend You Watch To See Wgat Real Action-Thrillers Are All About.

Such an awful movie. This movie is so stupid that it has running zombies and swimming zombies in it! Zombies that can run and zombies that can swim! These movies are so idiotic! This movie really sucks on so many levels. Why does this garbage have a 51% RT audience score? Resident Evil: Retribution rightfully deserves at least a 30% RT audience score. Rating: 3/10

Aaaaah- the one who fucked it up quite a bit. This one has the worst acting by far. Milla's performance can't support the bad acting from the other characters. Not everything makes sense and it seems kinda farfetched. Although one thing. The opening scene is the best thing.

Este film es probablemente la cinta mas dinamica de esta trilogia, su arco argumental es patetico y realmente pésimo pero sus escenas de acción son aceptables y bien echas pero su historia es completamente patetica.
