Very funny and clever. Just a tad too long for a satire. The gimmick wears off after about 40 minutes and my attention drifted.

Yeah, it's weird AF, but the musical numbers are solid, catchy, and hold up over multiple viewings over the years. Kristen Bell is a luminous angel in this, Ana Gasteyer SLAYS with both her voice and slap-stick comedy, and Alan Cumming shows why he's nothing short of a theater god. Also one of the greatest depictions of Jesus...ever.

"When danger's near, exploit their fear." A smart, hilarious and catchy absurd musical film spoofing the cult classic. Everyone does a fantastic job (including Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Neve Campbell, Ana Gasteyer, John Kassir, Amy Spanger, Robert Torti and Stephen Weber) , but my favorite has to be Alan Cumming as The Lecturer/Narrator who acts as our guide throughout the film. Definitely memorable, it's a shame the stage play the film is based on didn't catch on like it deserved to.
