A man and his teenage daughter encounter nonstop danger while searching for valuable gems on an alien moon.

Critics Consensus

Fueled by character development and setting instead of special effects, Prospect is a sci-fi story whose style is defined - and enriched -- by its limitations.

The film balances genre thrills with a detailed depiction of prospecting on an alien world, created via a mix of practical locations (shot in a damp Northwestern forest) and some psychedelic digital backdrops.

Watch 2018's Prospect for the story, of course, but also for the impeccable aesthetic.

The small details throughout Prospect, which have obviously been thought through and labored over, do much to immerse the viewer in the intense situations.

Rubbish! From the homemade spaceship, a walk in the woods, to no storyline. The acting is good but everything else is awful.
