What to Know

Critics Consensus

This taut and snappy French prison break thriller may be suspiciously implausible, but is held together by two fine central performances.

There's nothing exceptional about any of this but it is well made, decently acted (Kruger is clearly a star in the making) and rachets up the tension with some skill. Go to Full Review

Abraham R Jan 7, 2018 It is a perfect thriller, just what you need when you want to see some good nail-biting 1,5 hours long movie. It's very suspenseful and intense, doesn't take even a small break. The leading performance by Vincent Lindon is convincing and brilliant, the transformation from a soft teacher to a determined man obsessed with saving his wife is first-rate. Diane Kruger did the good job too. No wonder Hollywood hastened to make a remake, they love doing it: remaking European films. See more
Abraham P Jul 7, 2017 Such a lovely piece. This shows how far youd get all for the sake of love and devotion. A classic thriller. Unlike the remake, the character build up is better and the wife is prettier. LOL. The only flaw in the film was how did the police picked up the trail so fast, its not logical. See more
