If you like Italian sci-fi, with its shiny, phony plastic miniatures and sprawling Cinecitta studio sets, this is one of the best, with unbelievable black leather fashions with yellow piping and headhugging skull caps. Go to Full Review

…Mario Bava’s talent for optical effects, miniatures and unmatched gift for colour and composition makes this something of an event for sci-fi fans…one of those rare, one-in-a-million movies where base lead somehow becomes solid gold… Go to Full Review

Abraham R Mar 30, 2019 This flick was undoubtedly inspiration for Ridley Scott's great Alien (1979) and Prometheus (2012). For a low-budget movie, the sets and colorful visuals are just orgasmic, they are some of the best I've ever seen a film. Italian director Mario Bava had a talent when it came to camera shots. Also, for a 60s science fiction flick, it's got some gruesome gore, which is also enjoyable. But unfortunately, the dialogue and acting sometimes sounds pretty fake, and the script is tedious. But overall, this Italian movie is a descent sci-fier and worth looking at just for its visual style. Recommended!! See more
