A delightful film, very little that says so much. Go to Full Review

Given the bloated junk currently clogging both Hindi and American mainstreams, such human-sensitive fare provides its own restorative, oddly pleasurable form of release. It slips down nicely. Go to Full Review

A lot of Piku belongs to writer Juhi Chaturvedi, in her naturally progressive ideas and her ability to see the universal in the particular. Go to Full Review

Watch Piku if you are in the mood to watch a movie that's all heart. There are no larger-than-life heroes, dramatic transformations or neatly-tied endings. Still, Piku works its magic because it steers clear from the usual trappings. Go to Full Review

Piku is a lovely film, which tells a compelling story created out of everyday lives. This doesn't happen too often, so don't miss this one. Go to Full Review

Some sequences bristle with the emotional tension that can result from a self-centred single parent stifling his daughter's dreams, but they quickly dissolve into giggles. Go to Full Review

Ron S Dec 7, 2018 I think "Piku" is strongly acted and that is why I was able to sit through it. I personally found this movie to have a good message at its center, but also found it to be pretty boring and uneventful. I think it had all the makings to be a good movie, but it seems to waste a good cast with a pretty dull premise. I also think the movie is trying to be realistic but at the same time, Amitabh Bachchan's character comes off as cartoonishly over the top at times. Overall, I think this movie is pretty overrated, as there are much better dysfunctional family dramas out there. This is a relatively short movie for Bollywood, yet it still felt long since I felt it dragged on and on. See more
Rey S Aug 22, 2017 This movie is for all the 'only-child' all over the world, taking care of their old parents. I could relate to the film on so many levels. Starting from the execution to the climax of this movie, every thing seemed well thought and established. Casting and characterization are commendable. What made the movie so different than others is its simplicity. With no earth-shattering twists and turns, it just reaches out to the heart of children and parents too! See more
Albus G Apr 2, 2017 Yet another Bollywood movie that highlights its own mediocrity. The story meanders on through pointless scenes making it hard to stay awake See more
