Anton Bitel Little White Lies Mar 27, 2017
If all this sounds like standard giallo/slasher fare... in fact Simn constructs his film in much the way that the killer recreates his puzzle: taking a bit from here, a bit from there, & stitching all these disparate pieces into a monstrous hybrid. Go to Full Review

As an example of sexist, racist sleaze, Pieces is an inadvertently amusing relic of early '80s grindhouse. Go to Full Review

Pieces wants to be a fun, funny, cult slasher, and to some extent it is. It tried so hard to cash in on the early slasher craze that it actually ends up being a fun, funny, cult slasher because of how hard it falls on its face. Go to Full Review

Makes no real sense at all mainly because everyone involved defies the thin line of reality it could have easily maintained. Go to Full Review

Hagrid R Jan 16, 2019 Movie scared the heck out of me as a kid
Kylo R Nov 13, 2018 For an '80s slasher flick. its amazing. Cheesy blood effects obviously but not too much gore which I liked. The killer was fun to watch. Loved his chainsaw and his knife. Had some '80s nudity which was nice. A good campy slasher. See more
Luke W Jun 2, 2018 Do you like cheesy 80s slashers? Then you'll like Pieces. It's really that simple. It's the type of movie that's best viewed with a group of friends who enjoy these types of movies. The plot is basic and even so not explained very well, and really just an excuse for a crazy person with a chainsaw to run around a campus chopping up coeds. It's exploitation through and through, and it's completely unapologetic about it. Maybe it's macabre, but the movie's just a ton of fun. It's logically inconsistent, the acting is never very good, and it's often downright goofy. The gore effects are pretty good for the most part, I will give the film that. If you like the later entries in the Friday the 13th or Nightmare films, you'll probably enjoy this well enough. I really enjoyed it. See more
Draco R Sep 17, 2017 its one of those cult horror movies that only freaks would love
Hermione R Jul 21, 2017 Delightful butchery.
George G May 20, 2017 A low budget treat were a psycho path wants to make a human puzzle.
